"Our mission is to ensure service delivery, and we will persist in advocating for the people of Katutura and the surrounding areas," he asserts. "We will hold those in power accountable and strive for justice for our people. This Monday, we plan to hold a press conference with the pensioners."
Gariseb acknowledges the election's impact, highlighting both positive and negative lessons. He expresses gratitude for the inspiration and enthusiasm of voters, particularly those from outside the area. However, he also emphasizes the need for further education among the younger generation about the importance of voting. Many young people still lack a clear understanding of why voting is crucial.
Meanwhile, Josef Kauandenge from the Association for Localized Interests (Asoli) remains optimistic about the future of their political endeavors, despite their failure to secure a seat in the City of Windhoek. Kauandenge acknowledges the importance of reflecting on the election's outcome and learning from it. He expresses satisfaction with the high turnout of young voters, encouraging them to continue participating in the democratic process.
Both activists agree on the necessity of educating the youth about the significance of voting and the role it plays in shaping their communities. They aim to foster a culture of civic engagement and empower individuals to make informed choices.
