Bayern Star Musiala's Impatience: 'I Would've Played Last Month' (2026)

Imagine the frustration of a top athlete itching to get back on the field, only to be held back! That's the situation Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala is facing. During a recent fan club visit, the young national player revealed his eagerness to return to the game, stating he would have already been playing last month if it were solely his decision.

This news came during Musiala's visit to the Red Bull Taubenbach fan club near the German-Austrian border. He mentioned his expected comeback for FC Bayern "in the coming weeks." However, he clarified that the friendly match in Salzburg on Tuesday wouldn't be soon enough for him. Approximately 1,000 fans in Simbach am Inn heard him express his desire to return, adding a layer of anticipation for his fans.

Coach Vincent Kompany is aiming to give Musiala his first minutes of play by the end of January. But Musiala himself is clearly ready to go, saying, "It's not just my decision. If it were up to me, I would have played last month. We're just making sure I get back in well and don't have any fear."

But here's where it gets controversial... Musiala suffered a severe injury in early July during the Club World Cup quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain, specifically a broken leg and ankle dislocation. He returned to team training shortly before Christmas. He's been working hard, as he mentioned, "I've trained a lot now, it's going really well. But we don't want to come back too early. We're looking from training to training."

Before these fan club visits, which have been a tradition for 40 years, the Munich team had a training session on Sunday morning, despite the sunny but frosty weather. Due to a tight schedule, the traditional visits were moved to the first weekend of the new year. Harry Kane also participated, visiting the Red White Bombers fan club in Denkendorf and was greeted with brass band music. He also signed the Golden Book of the community.

And this is the part most people miss... the delicate balance between a player's eagerness and the need for cautious recovery.

What do you think? Do you agree with Musiala's eagerness to return, or do you think the team is right to be cautious? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
