Buckle up, drivers! Get ready for another round of gasoline price increases this week. On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, you'll feel it at the pump.
Shell Philippines, Petro Gazz, Caltex, Cleanfuel, and Seaoil all announced on Monday that gasoline prices will jump by P1.20 per liter. This increase kicks in at 6 a.m. for most companies, but Cleanfuel will start the changes at 4:01 p.m.
But here's where it gets interesting: Kerosene and diesel prices are staying put.
This marks the second week in a row that gasoline prices have gone up. And, according to GMA Integrated News Research, it's the 34th price hike this year!
And this is the part most people miss: With this increase, the estimated retail pump prices for gasoline in Metro Manila will range from P52.95 to P73.09 per liter. The current range is P51.75 to P71.89 per liter.
Is this increase justified, or are there other factors at play? What do you think about the frequency of these price hikes? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
