Maison Margiela is stepping into the world of homes, unveiling its inaugural residential project in Dubai. The luxury fashion house announced plans for a high-end living complex, with a teaser reel produced for the brand by Dezeen.
This marks a new chapter for the French label, which previously explored design and interiors through collaborations and bespoke spaces. Notably, Margiela teamed with Omexco to create wallpaper collections and designed the interiors of a custom suite at Les Sources de Caudalie hotel near Bordeaux. Now, the brand ventures into full residential living for the first time.
The Dubai development is a collaboration with Alta Real Estate Development and is situated on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah. It features 25 tailor-made residential units, each crafted by Maison Margiela using materials such as travertine and white resin. Exterior detailing includes gold accents to contrast with the predominant white palette, while interiors echo the exterior’s minimalist aesthetic.
Inside, a minimalist collection of furniture by Italian architect Carlo Colombo complements the space, spanning lamps, beds, tables, and seating. The project is slated to open in March 2028.
Coinciding with this venture, a new Maison Margiela Café is planned for the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, signaling broader regional expansion.
