You have to spend on compute – that is sort of what it takes to be a leading R&D company in this world." He also stressed the importance of having a strong balance sheet to support long-term scaling, echoing the conventional wisdom that financial stability is crucial for sustained growth. Nadella concluded that the performance of OpenAI and Anthropic justifies the risks being taken, indicating his confidence in their potential.
