Drivers can typically earn a discount of up to 10% on certain portions of their coverage if they drive more than 50% of their miles on FSD. Tesla is also expanding its stationary compute with the next-generation Cortex 2 training cluster, which will pull 500MW and be operational sometime in the middle of this year. In a recent interview, Elon Musk revealed a massive new facility at Giga Texas dedicated to Tesla's humanoid robot, Optimus. The facility will effectively double the site's manufacturing footprint and help shift Tesla towards its next phase of growth in robotics. The Roadster, Tesla's futuristic supercar, will feature hover-time capability using cold-gas thrusters, though Elon declined to provide details on the duration. The Cybercab, Tesla's autonomous vehicle, is predicted to be driving autonomously in public by the end of 2026. Tesla has also improved its vehicle warranty in Australia and New Zealand, offering a 5-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. However, there is a notable exception to this new unlimited rule for vehicles used for commercial purposes.
